New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph Vijay on 9 September asserted that he will not tolerate any abusive language or defamatory remarks against women he credited with his assembly election victory this year.

These are Vijay's first remarks daSy after a massive political row over Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'double-meaning' remarks involving actor Trisha last month.

"Freedom of speech, how it is being used, we should retrospect. At the same time, speaking of our people or women in a demeaning way, let's not have that," TVK chief Vijay said in the state Assembly, without naming Stalin.
