New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- OpenAI has released latest data around ChatGPT adoption in India where the company says that users aged 18-24 years old are taking the lead in adoption of its chatbot. The company also revealed that ChatGPT has surpassed over 100 million weekly active users in India and the country is the largest market for the company, outside the US. OpenAI also revealed that India is the fastest growing market for coding assistant Codex which has experienced a 4x increase in weekly active users in the last two weeks.

In an annoucnement on Friday, the AI startup said that users aged 18-24 year old account for 50% of all messages sent to ChatGPT in India. The global avaerage for the same group is around 33%.
