New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The government has lowered its estimated market borrowing for financial year 2027 (FY27) by nearly Rs.1.2 trillion and it now plans to raise Rs.7.86 trillion through dated government securities in the second half of the fiscal year, the finance ministry said on Friday.

The Centre now expects to borrow Rs.15.995 trillion through dated securities during FY27, compared with Rs.17.2 trillion estimated in the Union budget, according to its borrowing plan released in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
