New Delhi, Oct. 29 -- The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined Just Dial Ltd Rs.10 lakh for listing sellers of ammonium nitrate, a regulated explosive substance, without adequate disclosures on licensing requirements, buyer eligibility, traceability mechanisms or the legal consequences of unauthorised possession and use, according to a government order reviewed by Mint.

In the 28-page order, the CCPA also directed the online directory platform to immediately discontinue the listing, hosting, advertising, promotion and facilitation of access to ammonium nitrate and other substances classified as explosives under applicable laws.
