New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- Carlos Alcaraz defended his Japan Open crown on Tuesday, after outclassing an unseeded Czech Jiri Lehecka 7-6(4-2), 6-4 in the final and continue his resurgence after a wrist injury. Alcaraz, who won the Australian Open at the start of the year, had to miss the next two Grand Slams - French Open and Wimbledon - due to a persistent right wrist injury.
