New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta's historical drama Batwara 1947 has begun its second week at the box office on a quieter note. As of 6 PM, the film has recorded a sharp reduction in show count after completing its first seven days in theatres.

As of Day 8, the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial is running across 2,401 shows and has collected Rs.0.34 crore net in live collections, according to the latest trade estimates. This has taken the film's India net collection to Rs.33.94 crore so far, while its India gross stands at Rs.40.27 crore. Final collections for the day are still awaited.
