New Delhi, June 9 -- Apple will allow older iPhone models to run better in a major efficiency upgrade it rolled out with iOS 27. The new tool called CPU scheduler, Apple claims will make the older iPhones feel more responsive during everyday use cases.

During the WWDC presentation, Stacey Ford, (VP of OS Program Management said, "On our newer iPhones, iOS already has an advanced CPU scheduler. This year, we further optimised it so it's even more efficient when handling performance-intensive workloads"

Ford noted that the company has now found a way to bring the same scheuler improvements to older iPhones with iOS 27 coming with support for iPhone 11 series and later devices.
