New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- Apple will hold its next major product launch on September 9, marking the company's first launch event under incoming CEO John Ternus. The event is expected to feature the latest iPhone lineup and could also see Apple unveil its long-rumoured first foldable iPhone.

Ternus will take over as Apple CEO on September 1, with Tim Cook moving into the role of executive chairman.

The foldable iPhone is expected to be one of the biggest potential announcements, with analysts predicting that the high-end device could help lift Apple's average selling prices and margins.

The launch would also mark Apple's entry into a foldable smartphone market where Samsung Electronics has established an early lead.
