New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- There is encouraging news for commuters travelling between Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. Construction of the six-lane Greenfield Expressway connecting Ambala with Shamli is progressing rapidly, with nearly 70% of the project already completed.

The upcoming expressway is expected to significantly transform road connectivity across North India. Once operational, the project is likely to reduce the travel time between Ambala and Shamli from around three hours to just 90 minutes.

The entire project has an estimated cost of around Rs.4,900 crore. The 121.78-km high-speed corridor is being constructed by three companies.
