New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- Anthropic's Claude is now leading 26% of the artificial intelligence research and development work at the company, up from less than 1% in February, offering a new measure of how quickly AI is becoming involved in building the next generation of AI systems, the company said in a blog post.

More than 90% of Anthropic's AI R&D work is now performed at a level where AI either collaborates with humans or leads the work, according to measurements published by the company on Thursday. Anthropic said Claude is not yet operating fully autonomously in any measured area of its R&D.
