New Delhi, April 30 -- Adani Enterprises (AEL), the flagship company of the Gautam Adani-led conglomerate, announced its results for the March quarter and the financial year ended March 31 on Wednesday, 30 April, after market hours, reporting a consolidated net loss of Rs.221 crore.

In the year-ago quarter, the company's earnings had received a one-time boost of Rs.3,947 crore from the sale of its stake in its consumer goods joint venture with Wilmar International. The company had posted a net profit of Rs.3,903 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Higher operating expenses also weighed on profitability, rising sharply to Rs.32,458 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs.26,288 crore in the same quarter last year.
