New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- A Delhi court on Monday sent self-styled Hindutva influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj to 14 days' judicial custody in a case related to the alleged assault on the father of a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protester, according to LiveLaw.

Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Pratap Singh Laler passed the order after Bhardwaj was produced before the court following the expiry of his one-day police custody. He will now be produced before the court on September 21, the outlet reported.

Bhardwaj was detained in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr last week, hours after the CJP staged a protest outside the Parliament Street police station demanding his arrest over the alleged assault.
