Lucknow, May 14 -- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has once again shown sensitivity towards families affected by storms, lightning and heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh. The CM has directed ministers in charge of all districts to meet affected families and assess the situation on the ground.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister clearly stated, "The government stands firmly with the people during this disaster and that any kind of negligence in relief work will not be accepted."

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, District Magistrates in various districts of the state have started providing immediate financial relief to affected families. Continuous monitoring is being done at the government level to ensure that help reaches those in need on time. The Chief Minister has directed all DM to ensure that whatever assistance is required by affected families is provided without delay.

CM Yogi instructed officials to carry out relief and rescue operations with full seriousness and maintain constant monitoring in affected areas. He also directed that electricity, drinking water and health services should be restored on priority so that people do not face any inconvenience.

CM Yogi clearly told officials, "Public safety and assistance are the top priorities and that negligence at any level in relief work will not be tolerated."

Information regarding loss of life, livestock loss and crop damage has emerged from 19 districts including Barabanki, Bahraich, Kanpur Dehat, Basti, Sambhal, Hardoi and Unnao. Reports have also been received of several houses being damaged due to bad weather.
