Greater Noida, Oct. 7 -- The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Wednesday issued Letters of Intent (LoIs) to 25 companies for setting up industrial and other projects in the Yamuna City area. The proposed projects are expected to attract investments of around Rs 3,155 crore and generate more than 9,000 employment opportunities.

According to the officials, the projects will come up across approximately 95 acres of land. The LoIs cover projects in multiple sectors, including general industry, medical devices, mixed land use and the proposed Pharma Park. Of the 25 projects, 11 have been earmarked in Sector 8D under general industry.

Eight projects have been proposed in Sector 29, of which three will be located in the Apparel Park, one in the Handicraft Park and four under general industry.

Three projects have been allotted in Sector 24 under mixed land use, while two projects have been proposed in Sector 6, which has been designated for the proposed Pharma Park. One project has also been planned in Sector 28 for the Medical Device Park.

The authority said the projects together would occupy nearly 95 acres and bring substantial investment into the region. The employment potential of more than 9,000 jobs is expected to provide a further boost to industrial activity in the Yamuna City area.

The latest allotments come as the authority continues to develop industrial clusters and attract investments across specialised sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, apparel and handicrafts.
