India, July 2 -- A 25-year-old woman labourer died after she was electrocuted while working at an under-construction house in northwest Delhi's Tri Nagar area, police said on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Sangeeta, a resident of Zakira, was rushed to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Police said she suffered an electric shock while carrying out construction work at the site in Narang Colony. An FIR has been registered at Keshav Puram Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita relating to negligence. Police are investigating whether adequate safety measures were in place and are verifying the roles of the house owner, contractor and others.
