India, July 22 -- Water supply is likely to be affected in parts of South Delhi as Delhi Jal Board has taken up maintenance work at Sonia Vihar water treatment plant, officials said on Tuesday. "Due to essential maintenance work on the South Delhi Main, the water supply from the Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant will be affected from 10 am on July 22, 2026. "There will be no water supply on July 22 (evening), and on July 23 (morning), water supply will be available at low pressure," DJB said in its alert. Residents of the affected areas are requested to store sufficient water in advance as per their needs. On request through the designated helpline numbers, DJB tankers will be provided in case of need, it further said. Areas like Lajpat Nagar, Greater Kailash South, Chhatarpur, Nizamuddin, Okhla, Malviya Nagar, Sarita Vihar and adjoining areas will be affected.
