Mirzapur, July 30 -- A man and his teenage son were killed after a cement-laden container truck veered off the road and crashed into their house here in the early hours of Wednesday, police said on Thursday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Nitesh Singh said the accident occurred near Kalna Gaharwar in the Gaipura police outpost area under Vindhyachal police station limits.
The container, coming from Prayagraj, went out of control, crashed into a house and overturned, killing Shiv Prasad Gupta (45), who was sleeping on a cot, on the spot, he said.
Shiv Prasad's 13-year-old son, Rohit, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the district hospital by ambulance, where he died during treatment, the officer said. mpost
