India, Aug. 27 -- A dump truck collided with a DTC bus in the Delhi Cantonment area on Wednesday morning, leaving three persons injured, police said. The accident took place near Thiraiya traffic light after crossing the Delhi Cantt flyover towards Dhaula Kuan. Three persons travelling in the truck were injured and the bus driver suffered a fracture in his leg, they said. A PCR call regarding the incident was received at Delhi Cantt police station at 8:23 am, following which police teams reached the spot and the injured persons were shifted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, a senior police officer said. The police said the dump truck was being driven by 26-year-old Pritam, who hailed from Uttar Pradesh. He was travelling with Sanoj (28) and Roshan (18), both from Bihar. The trio were workers engaged with the Delhi Cantonment Board and were carrying out their routine duty when the accident occurred, the officer said. Three people sustained minor injuries, while the DTC driver suffered a leg fracture. All passengers were safe; police are checking CCTV footage and MLC reports.
