Kolkata, June 9 -- Commenting on Trinamool Congress' (TMC) current organisational crisis, state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Tuesday said that TMC in future will only find a place in a chapter of Islamic history.

"The days of Humayun, Jahangir, and Shahjahan have gone. TMC's place will only be in Islamic history. Those who were there with the TMC from the day it was founded were now leaving the party.

The dedicated party workers who had toiled hard for the party are quitting it now," Bhattacharya said.

Mocking Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee's attending the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi, Bhattacharya stated: "She (Banerjee) did not attend the India bloc meeting earlier. What prompted her to attend the meeting at a time when the party is on the verge of collapse."

Bhattacharya, on a number of occasions, said that TMC was destined to be disintegrated as it had no political ideologies. He stated that if a group of people claim themselves as a political party without any political ideology and devoid of any aim, it is bound to break. He had claimed that TMC lacked a distinct ideological foundation and was only formed originally to oppose the CPI(M).
