Kolkata, Sept. 14 -- The West Bengal government will launch the three-week "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" from September 17 to October 10 to improve awareness and access to welfare schemes and encourage citizen participation.
The campaign will also promote the broader Viksit Bharat 2047 goal and coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and celebrations marking his 25 years in public service. The programme will begin with "Ashirbader Pradip", featuring lamp-lighting events at heritage and cultural sites by beneficiaries and their families.
Schools and higher education institutions will hold speech, drawing and essay competitions, while music and theatre will showcase welfare initiatives.
"Anna Milan Seva" at Anganwadi centres will focus on nutrition, health and women-centric schemes. Beneficiary experiences will be documented under "Sebar Kahini", while "Sebay Amar Jogdan" will promote public participation in environmental, health and education activities.
The campaign will end with an innovation challenge on October 9 and a statewide programme on October 10.
