NEW DELHI, May 21 -- A 16-year-old boy was apprehended in north Delhi's Burari for allegedly flaunting a country-made pistol in social media reels to impress followers, police said on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended the juvenile from Sunder Vihar on the night of May 13-14 and recovered the firearm from his possession.
During questioning, he allegedly told police that he had procured the weapon from a friend in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, around 10 days ago. Police said the boy used the pistol to create reels and project an image on social media.
