India, Aug. 12 -- The Delhi Tourism Department inaugurated a two-day Teej festival at Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura, bringing together traditional cultural activities, competitions, handicrafts and cuisine as part of the celebrations. CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated the festival at Dilli Haat INA in the presence of Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, Greater Kailash MLA Shikha Rai and Delhi Tourism Managing Director Sunil Anchipakka, among others. The festival, being held on August 8 and 9, seeks to showcase Teej as a celebration of cultural heritage, nature and traditional values. Organisers said the event aims to promote themes of harmony, love and beauty while providing visitors an opportunity to experience traditional festivities. A range of competitions, including mehendi, bindi and rangoli, are being organised during the festival, with prizes for winners.
