New Delhi, Sept. 14 -- A Delhi-based international swimmer Tarun Tokas and an Enforcement Directorate, officer has been selected to represent India at the 2nd Asian Masters Swimming Championship-2026, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from October 4-10.
Tokas' selection comes on the heels of a performance at the recently concluded 22nd National Masters Swimming Championship-2026, held in Bahadurgarh, Haryana on September 11-13. The Haryana Swimming Association, under the auspices of the Swimming Federation of India, hosted the national event where Tokas won five gold medals across multiple categories.
The swimmer secured gold medals in the 50-metre, 100-metre, and 200-metre butterfly events, alongside victories in the 400-metre individual medley and medley relay competitions. He also claimed a bronze medal in the freestyle relay category.
The Asian Masters Swimming Championship represents a significant platform for regional competitors. Tokas' selection reflects strong performances across multiple swimming disciplines, positioning him among India's competitive swimmers for the continental-level competition.
The Bengaluru championship will bring together masters swimmers from across Asia, providing an opportunity for participating athletes to compete at the regional level.
