Kolkata, Oct. 8 -- The Red Ribbon Club of Bethune College National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit in collaboration with the West Bengal State AIDS Prevention and Control Society (WBSAP&CS) conducted a flashmob at Sealdah Railway Station to spread awareness about HIV AIDS, on Thursday.

According to the organisers, the patients suffering from such diseases often face discrimination owing to less awareness. The aim for conducting the event was to eliminate the stigma and discrimination. During the event, the students of Bethune College delivered awareness messages through multiple performances.

The commuters travelling through the Sealdah Railway Station were also engaged in conversation, encouraging them to adopt informed and responsible health practices.

The event highlighted the key factors responsible for the disease.
