Kolkata, Aug. 31 -- St. Xavier's University, Kolkata (SXUK) marked Philanthropy Week 2026 with a series of initiatives organised by the SXUK Alumni Association (SXUKAA), culminating in Philanthropy Day on August 26, the birthday of Vice-Chancellor Rev. Fr. John Felix Raj, SJ.
The week began with a blood donation camp on August 21, organised with the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors of West Bengal and Maheshwari Foundation Lions Club Howrah Blood Bank.
On August 25, alumni and members of the university community celebrated SXUK's journey and legacy. On August 26, over 300 children from neighbouring villages attended Shishu Mela.
