Kolkata, Oct. 5 -- In a development related to the protest by the Bangiya Hindu Jagaran Manch, police on Monday registered an FIR against those present at Sunday's gathering based on a complaint filed by Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, Registrar Deepak Kumar.
The complaint alleged that people gathered outside the institute with a common intention and raised slogans, causing a disturbance.
It further alleged that stones, bottles and sticks were thrown at SRFTI students and faculty members at the main gate, resulting in injuries to two students.
Police have initiated a probe and are examining CCTV footage to identify those involved
in the incident.
