New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- The Self-Defence Wing of the Special Police Unit for Women & Children (SPUWAC), Delhi Police, conducted a one-day self-defence workshop for 450 NCC cadets at Group HQ Delhi 'C' in Safdarjung Enclave, officials said.
The workshop, organised as part of the ongoing Combined Annual Training Camp 2026, was held under the supervision of the DCP, SPUWAC. It aimed to equip cadets with practical self-defence skills while enhancing their situational awareness and confidence in dealing with challenging situations.
During the session, SPUWAC trainers demonstrated basic self-defence techniques and guided cadets on responding to potential threats.
They stressed the importance of staying vigilant and acting promptly during dangerous situations to ensure personal safety.
The interactive workshop received an enthusiastic response from the NCC cadets, officials said.
The SPUWAC regularly conducts self-defence training, safety awareness and community outreach programmes to empower girls and young women, promote preparedness and foster a culture of personal safety.
