New Delhi, Oct. 31 -- The Regional Meteorological Centre in Alipore has forecast mostly dry weather across south Bengal over the next few days, with rain likely to return next week.
Although Cyclone Arnab has moved away, its remnants have formed a low-pressure area over northern Chhattisgarh and adjoining eastern Madhya Pradesh, which may trigger rain in north Bengal. Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar may experience gusty winds, light to moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms.
Between November 1 and 5, most areas are expected to remain partly cloudy and largely dry, though isolated showers are possible. Kolkata may witness a few light showers and thunderstorms over the next 24 hours.
Temperatures are likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius maximum and 25 degrees Celsius minimum.
