New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday began a four-day visit to South Korea, seeking deeper cooperation between the two countries in shipbuilding, shipping and maritime logistics.
Sonowal began his visit in Busan, a major Korean maritime hub, where he met Indian professionals working with companies including Samsung Heavy Industries, Hanwha Ocean, HD Hyundai, DNV and the Indian Register of Shipping.
Highlighting the VOYAGES framework adopted in April during South Korean President Lee Jae Myung's state visit to India, Sonowal urged professionals to contribute to India's maritime growth and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
