Kolkata, July 10 -- Days after the horrific rape and murder in Baruipur shook Kolkata, another alleged sexual assault involving a six-year-old girl surfaced in the city, leading police to arrest her maternal uncle after a preliminary investigation. The child is undergoing treatment at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital as investigators continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
According to police sources, the girl is a resident of the Lake Town Police Station area.
