New Delhi, Aug. 31 -- Delhi's draft electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was published on Monday, excluding 47,56,722 of the 1,45,10,299 existing electors.
A claims and objections window will remain open from August 31 to September 30, with the final roll scheduled for November 4.
How can voters check their names?
Voters can search the draft roll through the Delhi CEO or Election Commission electoral search portal using their EPIC number or registered mobile number.
What if a name is missing?
Eligible voters can seek inclusion by submitting Form 6, along with the prescribed Declaration form and supporting documents, between August 31 and September 30. Those who have permanently shifted can submit Form 6 at their new residence.
Why are 47.5 lakh electors missing?
Of the existing electors, completed enumeration forms for more than 67 per cent were digitised. The remaining 47,56,722 were categorised as Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO), with most marked as permanently shifted. Their exclusion from the draft does not prevent eligible voters from seeking inclusion.
What is Form 6?
Form 6 is used to seek inclusion in the electoral roll. Applicants must provide proof of date of birth and residence. Accepted documents include Aadhaar, birth certificate, PAN card, driving licence, Class X/XII certificate or passport. Residence proof includes utility bills, Aadhaar, bank/post-office passbook, passport, land records, registered rent deed or sale deed.
How can Form 6 be submitted?
Forms can be filed online through the Voters' Services Portal or ECINET app, or offline through the AERO, ERO or BLO.
Why is SIR being conducted?
The house-to-house exercise verifies voter details and removes errors and ineligible entries. Enumeration ran from June 30 to August 17. Claims will be examined until October 29.
