Thane, Sept. 30 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday attacked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the killing of a party functionary in Thane, calling it a "disgrace" for the state Home Department.
Party leader Aaditya Thackeray also targeted the govt over "repeated" such incidents, which he claimed prove that the state's law and order situation was deteriorating.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens to live in safety, he said, demanding the immediate arrest of all those involved.
Local Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnekar died soon after unidentified persons shot and assaulted him within the jurisdiction of Kapurbawdi police station around 9 pm on Tuesday, triggering tension in the area.
