Ghaziabad, Sept. 29 -- Two scooter-borne men allegedly followed a private bus from Lal Kuan before opening multiple rounds of fire at it on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway late Monday night, injuring the conductor and another passenger. The incident took place near Hi-Tech College in the Masuri area, said officials. The bus, bearing registration number UP15FT0038, was travelling from Usmanpur in Delhi to Usaith in Badaun when the firing took place. According to the driver's account to police, the two men on the scooter had been following the bus since Lal Kuan and allegedly made several attempts to target it.
The attackers eventually opened fire from the conductor's side as the bus was moving towards Meerut. Several rounds were fired, following which panic spread among those travelling in the bus.
