New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- The Delhi government on Wednesday launched a Metro-based awareness campaign to take information about its welfare and public-interest schemes directly to commuters as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off a special Delhi Metro train carrying information on various government schemes and citizen services from ITO Metro Station. The campaign will use wrapped Metro

trains, digital screens and permanent panels at stations to reach commuters across the city.

The initiative will cover information on several schemes, including the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana, last-mile connectivity initiatives, measures for micro, small and medium enterprises, collateral-free loans of up to Rs 10 crore, tax benefits and subsidies under the Electric Vehicle Policy, the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the Atal Canteen scheme offering meals at Rs 5.

The campaign will also highlight the Delhi Laxmi Yojana, under which the government provides monthly assistance of Rs 2,500 to women in need, expansion of the Delhi Metro, the Swachh Delhi-Green Delhi campaign, Saheli Pink Smart

Card for women, regularisation of 1,511 unauthorised colonies and the Clean Yamuna Mission.

According to the government, the campaign will extend beyond train wrapping. Messages about schemes and services will be displayed on digital screens and video walls across the Metro network for 15 seconds every five minutes. Permanent publicity panels will also be installed at Metro stations.

Gupta said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that eligible beneficiaries received information

about schemes in an accessible manner.

"The objective of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' is to bring information about government schemes and services closer to citizens.
