Kolkata, Sept. 16 -- Hindi Day was celebrated at SBI, LHO Kolkata, with CGM R Natarajan formally inaugurating the Hindi Fortnight celebrations on September 14, 2026. The event also featured the reading of a message from the Bank's Chairman, Challa Sreenivasulu Setty.
In his message, the Chairman highlighted the complementary relationship between the official language and the mother tongue, noting that language plays an important role in strengthening identity, culture and self-reliance.
He urged staff to serve customers in languages they understand best, stressing that wider use of Hindi and other Indian languages can enhance productivity and promote national unity and progress.
