CHANDIGARH, May 25 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said women journalists are playing a vital role in shaping the democratic narrative of the country through their courage, commitment and professionalism.
Interacting with members of the Women Journalists Welfare Trust in New Delhi, Saini said women journalists have consistently demonstrated resilience, balance and truthfulness even while working in challenging conditions. Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Rajeev Jaitly was also present on the occasion.
He also highlighted women-centric initiatives of the government, including the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign, and said the programme has brought significant social change in the state with improvements in the sex ratio in several regions. mpost
