Patiala, Sept. 23 -- Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) CMD Gurkirat Kirpal Singh on Wednesday held a meeting with representatives of around 37 employee organisations to discuss their demands, problems and pending issues.
The meeting, attended by directors and senior officers, was Singh's first interaction with employee organisations since assuming charge and was held in a cordial atmosphere. Employee representatives sought early resolution of promotion-related demands and raised other pending matters. Singh said differences of opinion between employees and management were natural but emphasised resolving issues through dialogue before they lead to protests or agitation.
He assured that demands falling within the corporation's jurisdiction would be addressed at the earliest, while matters requiring government intervention would be brought to its attention.
Singh directed officials to take necessary steps on promotion-related and other pending issues. Employee leaders assured the management of their cooperation and welcomed continued dialogue to resolve grievances.
