Kolkata, May 14 -- The cops of Diamond Harbour Police District on Thursday launched a search operation at the residence of TMC MLA from Bishnupur in South 24-Parganas, Dilip Mondal, for allegedly threatening BJP workers through a video. During the raid, cops were surprised to see the luxurious villa of the TMC MLA in Pailan.
However, Mondal was not there at the time of the raid. He was, however, reportedly spotted in the area.
According to sources, recently, a video of the Bishnupur MLA went viral on social media, where Mondal was seen threatening the BJP workers and supporters. Millennium Post, however, could not verify the authenticity of the video.
Over the issue, a complaint was lodged with the police against the MLA, following which a case was registered, and the police on Thursday raided two houses of the TMC MLA and seized a mobile phone.
