
New Delhi, Sept. 30 -- Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Dhirendra Ojha was on Wednesday re-employed as principal director general of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) till September next year.
Ojha, a 1990-batch officer, was appointed to the post in July 2024. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his re-employment as principal director general, PIB, on a contract basis for one year beyond his superannuation on September 20, 2026, with effect from October 1, 2026, till September 30, 2027, or until further orders, according to an order issued by the Personnel Ministry.
With the latest order, Ojha will continue as principal director general, PIB, the principal spokesperson of the central government, till September next year.
