Noida, Aug. 31 -- The Noida Authority has invited applications for 34 kiosks in Sector 18 and near GIP Mall in Sector 38A, opening up opportunities for food, retail and other businesses in two of the city's busiest commercial hubs.
According to officials, the kiosks will be allotted through e-auction for seven years, with the licence extendable by another three years.
Noida Authority OSD Indu Prakash Singh said 19 kiosks have been offered near Gate No. 2 of GIP Mall in Sector 38A, while 15 are located at different points in Sector 18.
The authority had earlier planned to lease all the kiosks to a single private operator. However, the proposal failed to attract suitable bidders, prompting officials to offer the units to individual applicants.
In Sector 38A, the 19 prefabricated kiosks, each measuring 10.80 square metres, have already been installed. The area is being developed as a themed commercial and food destination showcasing cuisines and cultural diversity from different states.
Of these, 11 kiosks have been earmarked for food businesses and eight for non-food activities.
In Sector 18, the 15 kiosks measure 11.34 square metres each and are located at various points in the market. The area also features a 22ft by 13ft Delta Screen, six sculptures, 65 bollards and 24 seats.
Officials said 12 kiosks in Sector 18 have been proposed for non-food businesses and three for food vending. The ratio may be revised during the licence period with the authority's approval.
The authority expects the kiosks to boost commercial activity and give visitors more shopping and food options.
