Kolkata, Sept. 2 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out a raid at a residential apartment in Shakespeare Sarani area on Wednesday.
The search operation was part of a simultaneous multi-state crackdown, investigating a multi-crore National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) toll fraud and subsequent money laundering.
According to sources, a six-member team of ED officials, accompanied by central forces, arrived at the flat of a businessman in Shakespeare
Sarani area on Wednesday morning.
The residential premises were thoroughly searched for several hours as investigators scanned financial documents, bank accounts, and digital devices.
