Kolkata, Sept. 4 -- A 16-year-old boy drowned at Rabindra Sarobar lake on Friday afternoon while practising swimming.
The deceased, Sarit Ghosh, a resident of Panchanantala Road, was a regular swimmer at the lake. Around 5 pm, he reportedly collapsed while swimming and did not resurface.
Fellow club members rescued him and rushed him to a private hospital in Shakiras, where he was declared brought dead. Police registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for autopsy.
