New Delhi, Oct. 25 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) received the first prize for excellence in urban sanitation and municipal infrastructure at an exhibition held at Talkatora Stadium from October 23 to 25.

The civic body participated in Meri Dilli Utsav-2026, the 12th Vibrant India-2026 and the PSEs Development and Achievements Expo to showcase its municipal services, public welfare programmes and citizen-centric initiatives.

The MCD stall attracted students, residents and representatives of various institutions, who sought information about the corporation's services and ongoing projects, according to an official statement issued on Sunday.

Departments, including Property Tax, Environment Management Services (DEMS), Veterinary Services and Public Health, presented their initiatives through displays, models, panels and awareness material. The exhibits covered digital services, environmental management, animal welfare and public health programmes.

Officials interacted with visitors and addressed queries on online property tax payments, solid waste management, environmental initiatives, veterinary services and public health measures. The participation was aimed at improving public awareness of municipal services and facilitating direct engagement between the civic body and residents. The exhibition provided a platform for the corporation to highlight its work in civic administration, environmental sustainability and public welfare. It also sought to familiarise visitors with the services available through its various departments.
