New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- A 40-year-old MCD sanitation worker was found dead with a cord tied around his neck at a vacant government plot in north Delhi's Mukhmelpur on Friday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of Mukhmelpur, they said.
According to the post-mortem examination report, the probable cause of death appears to be hanging, police said.
Viscera has been preserved for further examination. The doctors also noticed an alcohol-like smell in the stomach contents.
Police received information regarding a body lying at a vacant government plot in Valmiki Mohalla and reached the spot, where Kumar was found with the cord around his neck. A similar cord was also found at the spot, police said.
Police are probing Kumar's death from all angles after his brother found him dead amid a matrimonial dispute. mpost
