New Delhi, May 25 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Monday launched a major enforcement drive against illegal dairies and stray cattle in parts of north-west Delhi, demolishing unauthorised structures and apprehending 30 stray animals.

The operation, led by the Veterinary Services Department of the Keshavpuram Zone with support from multiple MCD zones, covered areas including Munak Canal, Rampura Industrial Area, Ashok Vihar and Tri Nagar.

Officials said illegal dairies contribute to encroachment, sanitation issues and traffic congestion. The civic body added that similar drives would continue regularly to improve urban management and public safety across the Capital.
