India, Aug. 27 -- A 24-year-old man died after his motorcycle was allegedly hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle on NH-9 near Khichripur Flyover in Delhi's Ghazipur area, police said on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Nitin, was returning home from Ghaziabad when the accident took place around 11.45 pm on Tuesday. Police said he was travelling towards his home in Delhi when the unidentified vehicle allegedly hit his motorcycle. A PCR call about the accident was received around midnight. Nitin was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police registered a case, are scanning CCTV footage to trace the unidentified vehicle, and reiterated that motorcycles are prohibited on the NH-9 stretch.
