New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- A 20-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding skidded near Mandoli Chowk in northeast Delhi on Sunday morning, while his friend riding pillion sustained injuries, police said.
The deceased, identified as Aryan, was riding the motorcycle when the accident took place around 9.55 am near Nand Nagri depot on the main Wazirabad Road towards Bhopura Border flyover, they said.
His friend Dev (18), who was riding pillion, also sustained injuries in the accident.
A police team rushed to the spot after receiving information about the accident and found a motorcycle lying on the road. A preliminary enquiry revealed that both occupants had sustained injuries and were taken to Rajiv Gandhi Hospital. Aryan, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Dev was discharged after receiving medical attention, a senior police officer said.
