India, June 30 -- A 30-year-old man was found dead inside his car under suspicious circumstances near a petrol pump close to Bharat City Society in Ghaziabad's Tila Mod area, with his family alleging he was murdered after noticing injury marks on his body. The deceased, identified as Akhilesh alias Sonu Purohit, a resident of Nistauli village, had left home on Saturday afternoon to bring back his wife, Pragya, who had been staying at her parents' home in Dehradun for the past week. However, he never reached his destination. According to his father, Kailash Purohit, Akhilesh worked for a private company in Noida. The couple, married around one-and-a-half years ago, have an eight-month-old son. When neither his family nor his wife could contact him for several hours, they initially assumed he was driving. Concern grew after he failed to arrive, prompting relatives to search for him. The family later found his car parked near a petrol pump close to Bharat City Society. Akhilesh was lying motionless inside the vehicle, with one leg resting on the steering wheel and his head wedged between the front seats. His relatives claimed there were visible injury marks on his face and near one eye, raising suspicion of foul play. Police rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The body was sent for post-mortem examination before being handed over to the family. Police said all possible angles, including murder and medical causes, are being investigated.
