New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- A 30-year-old man died after reportedly falling from a rooftop in Namdev Gali in the Gandhi Nagar area early Sunday morning, police said.
A PCR call was received at Gandhi Nagar Police Station at around 5:20 am, reporting that a man was lying injured on the road. A police team reached the spot and found the man injured. He was later declared dead.
The crime and forensic teams were called to the spot to collect evidence. Police are investigating whether Deepak accidentally fell from the rooftop or was pushed, and are examining the circumstances surrounding his death.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination to establish the precise cause of death and nature of his injuries. Police are also verifying his whereabouts and activities before the incident and examining whether anyone else was present at the spot.
Deepak was a native of Kishanganj Pipla in Bihar, police said.
Police said no conclusion has been reached yet and all possible angles are being examined. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
