Kolkata, Aug. 27 -- TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the devastating flash floods in Nepal and conveyed condolences to the families of those killed.
She prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and hoped for the safe return of those still missing as rescue operations continued.
Banerjee described the destruction of homes, infrastructure and communities as "deeply distressing" and expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal during the crisis.
